Wie angekündigt hat die (x)Ubuntu-Version 8.10.0 planmässig das Licht der Welt erblickt. Auch diesmal existiert wieder ein Port für die PowerPC-Plattform.

Ubuntu's new version 8.0.4, Hardy Heron has finalized its testing period and is now available for download (though the server might be a little slow at the moment). The good about is: The PPC version is a 100% on time.

Die Gemeinschaft bei Ubuntu ist noch dran, die nächste Version von Ubuntu, geplant für den April 2008 mit den Namen Hardy Heron, wird es wohl auch für den PowerPC geben. Zumindest für die Alternative-Install und die Server Variante gibt es bereits eine erste, frühe Alpha-Version.
