Thank you very much to all who participated in our Lime Z9 competition. Your articles enriched PPCNUX significantly. And thanks also for your patience. It took a little longer than expected. Sorry for that. But there is a life besides PPCNUX which was recently quite full with other activities (professional least to say). But now:
The winner is:
corto
We took this decision not lightly. All competitors submitted good and valuable articles. In the end corto's arcitcle combines depth with broad applicability (being not restricted to one part of the PPC-World).
Again we want to thank all participants.
And we like to encourage everybody to write more articles for the benifit of all of us. That is what the 'proposals' function on PPCNUX is for.

robyinno : I am very curious about the Lime Z9 but at the moment I don't know which distro I can install on it.
ppc_addon : I will use it, of course ! And I will continue to work on PowerPC, the architecture I like so much !
Currently, I have several PPC machines on which I develop. The Linux PPC community is not so visible but if I can do something for it, it would be a pleasure. Maybe articles or programs ...
did you received your prize?
ehy, did you something of usefull with your fresh new ppc laptop?
Yes
Sorry that you have to take the word of the sender. I got his email and address, send it and he told me he received it. I gave him logon information. I'm quit sure he switched it on, once!
But he said that he has to find some time to play with it. I'm a little bit sad without a picture of the lucky winner.
I received the machine and
I received the machine and started to play with it. I am writing my feelings in an article. I still have a problem to configure the network and the qwerty keyboard doesn't make things easy. Even with its low frequency (400 MHz), it is efficient. The interface of the desktop is for beginners, so I would prefer a more common interface but I can access all what I need though.
Do you want a picture of me ? I will add one to the article ;-)
By the way, it seems that this machine is currently sold as LinkBook, this is a recent review about it (waiting for mine) :
